Volunteer Opportunities

"Get Involved, Make a Difference"
At Hospice of Peel our volunteers make all the difference. With limited staff, our volunteers provide much needed support in all our programs to assist us in working with our clients, in our day program, bereavement program and running fundraising events. We couldn't do it without them.

There are many ways that you can volunteer with us. Some of the many opportunities are listed below, but for more information on volunteering for Hospice of Peel, please call:

Auction Planning Committee
The Auction Planning Committee is the driving force behind the Hospice of Peel's Gala Dinner and Auction, held in October The committee meets at minimum monthly from January through September. If you are interested in planning and organizing our largest fundraiser or for more information about this committee, please call Pauline Hopwood at 905-712-8119 x34 or email phopwood@hospiceofpeel.com

Special Events Volunteer
Our special events volunteer position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to volunteer on an occasional basis. Hospice of Peel has a variety of great events during the year. There are also opportunities to attend community awareness events.

Administration Support
Volunteers are needed to assist our administration staff with filing, photocopying, data entry and other office duties. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel or Access) is beneficial. The time commitment is 4 hours a week during regular office hours.
